Senior Tools & Services Supervisor

Basic Function:

Plans, co-ordinates and directs the activities of the Drilling Tools and Services Section.  Including the supervision and follow-up of inspection /maintenance / fabrication / machining / and modification of Drilling Tools and Equipment.  
Ensures the efficient operation of special services requirements in Musaffah during the handling and checking of Completion & Test Strings Sub assemblies, Float Equipments, Liners, Setting Tools, X-Mass Trees. Etc.. prior and after assembling & testing, for  both Gas and Oil projects
Supervises and ensures that adequate supply, safe, proper and timely dispatch of Company / ZADCO / ADNOC & Contractors drilling tools, equipments and materials required for the Drilling & Work-Over Rigs are available, in optimum working condition, at all times. Ensures timely dispatch of drilling tools, materials and equipment, to and from Rigs to facilitate uninterrupted drilling activities at sites.
On call 24 hours a day including weekends & national holidays.
The workload serving 13-Drilling / Workover Rigs and Barges.

Worked Performed:

Supervises and ensures that adequate supply of Company / ZADCO / ADNOC & Contractors drilling tools, equipments and materials required for the Drilling & Work-Over Rigs are available at all times.
Authorizes MRs/ PRs (Material Request / Purchase Request) and Service Orders, within financial authority, for replenishment of drilling tools, equipments and materials required and ensures timely delivery to individual Rigs as scheduled in the Drilling Bar Chart and the daily Equipment and Material Request forms.
Authorizes the Issues / Receipt / Return of Drilling Supplies of materials, tools and equipments including all Tubings and Casings in the store Stock and Direct Material for Gas and Oil wells.
Inspects and ensures that all drilling supplies received meet the Company’s drilling standards and specifications. Supervises, plans and ensures safe handling and proper storage & maintenance of such supplies.
Participates in trouble-shooting problems/ difficulties faced on Drilling Rigs and acts immediately at emergencies or urgent / vital matters by arranging and supplying required materials / tools / equipments. Proposes alternative of same, and course of action to be taken, etc….  Also, coordinates with Logistic, ESNAAD and other parties for proper execution and timely shipment.
Inspects and ensures that all Contracted / Rental drilling tools and equipment outbound to Rigs are correct, in good working condition, inspected / tested and certified for use by Company approved inspection companies. Supervises and ensures that all contracted / service company’s tools & equipment going to rigs are pre-slung and all slings / cargo carrying units ( CCU ) are tested and certified by Company approved third party authorities and are in good working conditions.
Supervises and co-ordinates with ESNAAD to carry out the “TGT” Tubular Packaging System & Pre-Slinging of Drill Pipes, Drill Collars, Casings etc, to ensure correct, timely, safe handling and proper dispatch to all rigs.
Authorises and co-ordinates the preparation of completion materials and equipment to be dispatched to contractors workshop and returned back after making up of necessary sub  assemblies and testing.  Ensures adequate / proper materials / equipment are available and streamlines the making up of sub-assemblies for both Gas & Oil projects.  Double checks same after job is done, to ensure correctness and that all tallies with the specified completion drawings. 
Prepares Conductor String design as per well programme, authorizes the issues of necessary material & timely mobilization to  contracted work shops for fabrications. Authorizes and coordinates the arrangement of safe transportation of same to & from ESNAAD base. Supervises conductor fabrication, inspection, blasting & application of special coating as per Company & ZADCO separate requirements, and timely shipment to appropriate Rigs.  Plans & coordinates with ESNAAD for proper mobilization.
Supervises and ensures that all inspection / maintenance/ repair/ fabrication / and modification works are carried out on Company’s and rental / contracted drilling tools / equipment moving to and returned from rigs are carried out to the latest established drilling standards / specifications and are all certified for use in Drilling and work-over operations.
Supervises and ensures that all well heads and completion materials recovered from worked over wells are properly segregated, checked, inspected to determine which ones can be serviced, repaired and put back for use again.  Makes decisions and advises equipment group accordingly.  Approves for write-off of irreparable items and arranges for their handover to Logistic Division in coordination with ESNAAD for safe disposal.
Endorses the safe keeping of recovered expensive materials such as: ‘ CRA ‘ High alloy, 13% Cr, T-95 or L-80, and some useable Well-heads, Valves, Drilling Rock / Diamond Bits and X-Mass Trees etc.. for spares and other near future uses.
Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effectively as a team. Works in line with HSE Policy, and ensures awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates. Guides and follows up the training of trainees and reports their progress to Senior Training Officer & DRSTL.
Performs other related duties such as scrutinizing, checking and correcting suppliers / contractors invoices and initiating approval of same, following- up of  Drilling Tools & Services Section allocated contracts such as Tubular Inspection Services, Conductor Welding Services, Repairs & Machining Services, and Material & Equipments Handling Services to ensure correct & proper implementation of terms by contractors. 
Review  and up-dates Contracts Work Scopes to latest standards and requirements.  Estimates / proposes budget value.  Makes draft design of certain tools, baskets, skids and submit for approval.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
6-7  years experience in Drilling Operations and Drilling Engineering with strong background in the use of Well Head Equipment & Down Hole Tools.
Very good knowledge of  spoken & written English.

Basic Function:      
  
Manage well delivery with a full life cycle approach and offer full services on all aspects of well construction. Evaluate well designs and advise on the development of cost-effective wells. Oversea and prepare field development plans, scope and cost and evaluate well viability. Also to incorporate well design, completions, drilling performance, new technology applications, multi-discipline studies and project management. Provide detailed technical and operational Well Test & Well Intervention Engineering support as part of an integrated team supporting the CWI Team Leader/Manger, Production Technologists and Senior Well Engineers on the rig site. Occasional visits to the Company field operations for preparatory work.

Supervising completion and activities on the rig including planning and executing activities related to completions onshore gas project.

Minimum Requirements:

B. Sc. Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent) and have a solid background in the oil and gas industry. 
Minimum of 15+ years experience in, completion design, coil tubing operations, fracturing operations and H2S as a Completions Engineer preferred. 
- Coil Tubing experience in horizontal wells
- Fracturing design and implementation
- Field experience in implementing coil tubing and fracturing operations
Proven experience in drilling and completion programmes and follow-ups, and be adept at working as part of a team - managing the performance of more junior engineers.

Senior Cement Engineer

Basic Function:

Discuss the cementing program with Company cementing engineer and liaise with Cement Service companies and request cement composition and calculates volume and chemicals required to ensure conformity with the cementing section approved procedure, standard and specifications. 
Prepare the logistic plan and follow up with shipping and operations groups, in order to make sure all chemicals, blends and equipment are available on the rig.

Worked Performed:

Audits cementing job on site and make sure that the operation goes as per Company standard and procedure. Report HSE or quality violations related to cementing jobs and propose action plan and follow up until closure. Prepare a post job cement report and discuss it with the cementing section.
Reviews on a daily basis the upcoming operations on each Company rig and discuss with Company cementing Engineer the cementing program and understand the objectives and success criteria of the cement job.
Coordinates with Company cement Engineer, the cementing service companies and Company shipping as well as the Drilling supervisor on the rig to make sure the chemicals are ordered and available on the rig on time.
Liaises with Company cementing Engineer, Company shipping, Company Rep and the cement service companies in order to send the required equipment for the cement Job; such as the batch mixer, cement head as well as down hole and make sure they are available on time on the rig site while taking in consideration the weather forecast limitations.
Helps Company cementing Engineer to investigate cement job failure, trouble – shoots cement job problems while determining corrective and remedial actions and measures to be reviewed and approved by CESL.
Makes sure that remedial actions and best practices are implemented correctly by cement service companies on site and on all cement jobs.
Makes sure blend and cement sampling is performed as per Company standard.
Prevents blend/cement contamination by controlling the transfer process from the bulker to the boat and into the rig silos.
Attends and supervises cement jobs on the rig site and assure that job execution is as per the planned program. Make sure that the cement job records and report are submitted by cement service companies within 2 days from the job execution.
Prepares a post job to be discussed with CESL during the job debrief.
Works in line with HSE policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent.
5 – 6 years of experience in Cementing and down hole tools service.
Very Good Knowledge in English.

Review and ensure performance of Drilling Fluids, Solids Control, Drilling Waste Management Services Companies through KPIs. 
Ensure their committed, goals and objectives are fulfilled.

Ensures cost optimization of operations while maintaining a high level of quality, safety and preventing any pollution. Plan training of field personnel to meet Company desired standards. Ensure Company’s HSE objectives are met. Strategic planning of Company’s future drilling fluids related services.
Approves Fluids programs and procedures. Ensures their implementation by all team members. Optimizes management of Fluid Services in the field with assistance of Fluids Section Leaders and Fluids engineers. Ensures that best practices and procedures are followed. 
Ensures Company HSE procedures and standards are respected and followed by Company Engineers and Contractor personnel. Ensures compliance of quality of chemicals, equipment, lab and procedures with assistance of Fluids Section Leaders and Engineers and Company lab. Ensures achievement of Fluids’ team’s objectives. Provides technical support to fluids engineers as required. Ensures team maintains inventory management of chemicals at rig-site.
Reviews and analyses of any contractor equipment failures, non-conformance of services and fluid related rig NPTs and ensure implementation of corrective actions. Reviews and monitors contractor’s drilling fluid programs, reports, recaps, AARs. 
Management of field and base personnel and optimal utilization of human resources.  Lead trouble-shooting & analysis of drilling problems, lab pilot tests & simulations, recommend improvements and solutions.
Reviews and develops Company Drilling Fluid Procedures and Practices for inclusion in Drilling Operations Manuals (DORM). Reviews and updates Drilling Fluids Manual. Implements safe drilling practices with Non-Aqueous Fluids with full environment protection. 
Leads and guides Drilling Division personnel for safe and optimal drilling operations as per approved drilling and fluid programs. Provides technical support to Drilling personnel. Co-ordinates with Reservoir and Petroleum Engineers to improve well productivity. Participates in operational meetings, well planning, WVAs, workshops, DWISCs and TCMs. 
Makes Fluids presentations at Peer Reviews, DTLs and Work-shops. Supervises and guides steam’s presentations for Lessons Learned and Incident Reviews. Makes technical paper submissions and presentations at Industry conferences, including SPE. Performs periodical safety and operational audits on rigs, lead audits of fluid contractors and chemical suppliers’ yards / warehouses and labs. Ensure close-out of audit recommendations. 
Prepares tenders’ technical scope and specifications, evaluate tenders, design and monitor lab evaluations of chemicals. Manages drilling fluids, solids control, brine plant, LMP, Drilling Waste Management contracts.
Monitors and approves contractor invoices. Plans specific critical operations in co-ordination with Drilling personnel and Fluids engineers. Liaises with Drilling Contractors for rig improvements for old and new rig designs. 
Plans and promotes new technology trials for improved drilling performance. Review trial reports and presentations for continuous improvements. Makes strategic plans for Company’s future operations and field developments in new fields, artificial islands, deep gas wells, ERD-MRC wells, etc. Co-ordinates with other OPCOs on issues of common interests. Maintains networking with other oil Companies to share new technologies and best practices.  
Guides, directs and supervises subordinates to ensure they work to their best potential and contribute effectively as a team. Works in line with HSE Policy, and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Chemical / Petroleum Engineering discipline or equivalent. 
10 - 12 years of experience covering all aspects of Drilling Fluids engineering, including minimum 5 years in a supervisory position. The position must be able to lead his team proactively. Be a team player and team leader. Be able to achieve Company objectives through good coordination between all parties involved.

Coordinates the preparation of final well drilling and workover reports. Monitors daily the collection of relevant data contained in the drilling report. Prepares regular drilling and wokover engineering activity reports as required.
Prepares special technical reports on existing or future projects, i.e., use of fiberglass casing in observation wells. 
Verifies well expenditure proposals and monitors variance from plans.  Provides budget estimates for drilling/workover operations.
Keeps abreast of technological development in the field of drilling engineering in the oil/ production industry and recommends their adoption by Company.
Knows the Company health, safety and environmental policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility, and ensures that they are effectively implemented in his domain.

Minimum Requirements:

B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, plus relevant advanced courses in Drilling/Completion/Directional Drilling and Blow Out prevention methods, problem solving decision making & well control certification.
A minimum (5) years of industry experience with specific emphasis on drilling technology and blow out prevention techniques and methods.
Core competency in drilling engineering and drilling operations.
Experience with horizontal and/or multi-lateral well technology.
Developed skills directional well planning, casing design, and cementing design for sour environments.

Performs Vendor Registration and Sourcing as per policies and procedures and Implements the Supplier Management System to optimize the Commercial Support Division processes, in line with Company Policies & Procedures.

Develops and maintains approved list of vendors in SAP which would be used by Buyers in Procurement Services work.

Liaises with Users on Shah Field, Materials Control and Procurement Department personnel and meeting their sources development requirements.
Coordinating to visits Vendor Premises, Warehouses and Workshops for assessment of capabilities, liaises with Vendors for getting registration documents and prepares various Vendor Reports for use within the División. Conducts meetings with Suppliers and Manufacturers, as required.
Knows Company Health, Safety & Environment Policies & Procedures in his area and ensures that the work is performed in a safe manner.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or its equivalent.

Minimum Requirements:

University degree in Finance, Economics, business or Supply Chain Management.
Minimum 5-6 years' experience in an Analyst role in a Category Sourcing Procurement environment.
Good business knowledge in the supply chain, logistics, and global sourcing areas, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.
Highly skilled in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and working experience with SAP is an asset.

Basic Function:

Effectively plan Commercial procurement to take advantage of efficient planning and to strengthen the procurement plan by performing variance analysis and formulating action plan.
Develop procurement planning objective and design procurement information request and acquire the relevant information for the preparation of procurement planning.
Compile and produce various Commercial periodical reports, and prepare any other handouts, presentations and ad hoc reports as requested.

Worked Performed: 

Ralse Procurement Information Request (PIR) for user division to provide details of Contracts/ Procurement requirement for the upcoming years by requesting information such as materials/ service description, need date, suggested vendors, estimated value and expected date to raise requisition etc.
Consolidate the PIR information and prepare the necessary procurement plan by coding the material/ service requirement separately. Further classification of the plan into two levels like department/ month wise requirement and entire month wise Company level requirement.
Validate and update the procurement plan considering the Past Spend Analysis and Market research output. Clarify any abnormal difference compared to the past spend analysis with the concerned department.
Submit the Procurement Plan to the Commercial Support Manager for appropriate assessment and finalization with the Concerned Commercial Team and end user department.
Update and monitor the Procurement plan continuously in the light of new development such as strategic developments, changes in the production plan and market development/ opportunities. Conduct quarterly meetings to discuss the changes to the procurement plan and finalization of the plan.
Analyze the Procurement Plan against the Actual procurement at the year end to identify the variations like quantity, price, etc. Variation Root Cause Report shall be prepared along with its proposed action plan to negate variation in future procurements.
Prepare Commercial periodical reports such as Board Meeting Input, Company monthly report, annual review report etc. Liaise with Commercial Teams and other Divisions to ensure data accuracy and integrity for producing the reports in final format.
Consolidate/ analyze the data extracted from SAP for reporting and in preparing Commercial Contracts/ Procurement activities related report.
Act as custodian for uploading Commercial Division Level 3 & 4 documentation of QMS Road Map of Quality documents.
Co-ordinate with Shareholders representatives to convene the shareholders Tenders Board and Tender Opening Committee meeting. Ensure that the document circulated to shareholders has the required information adhering to Company and Shareholders guideline.
Follow-up with the Shareholders Tenders Board representatives for the tenders awaiting approval, updates the follow-up document with all the relevant detailed information such as tender subject, value, date sent and approval sought for, approval required by, areas of concern and the impact. The follow-up is made on monthly basis in order to expedite the approval process.
Co-ordinates with ADNOC Group Companies Commercial focal point in other ADNOC Group Companies for organizing Commercial Department Level Networking form and update the relevant content of the forum status report. Prepare minutes of meeting and the action list, when the forum is hosted by Company. Act as focal point for any date sharing and benchmarking information related to Commercial activities between ADNOC Group Companies.
Co-ordinates the preparation of Divisional annual operating Budget in liaison with Commercial Division Responsibility Officers (RO). Update CD Budget variances upon request. Liaise with Finance Division to resolve problems related to Budget allocations.
Updates Commercial Division home page, whenever changes are required and act as responsible custodian for such update.
Handle other assignments assigned by Supervisor such as preparation of computer aided presentation as per the requirement.

Minimum Requirements:

B. Sc. Degree in Business Planning & Administration or its equivalent.
4-5 years of experience in Oil & Gas Exploration / Production environment with exposure to Commercial Planning.
Excellent skills and hands-on experience in computerized planning package, ERP system Maximo added advantage.
Proficient in MS-Office applications.
Good knowledge of English.

Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills (both English & Arabic).
Knowledge of ERP / Supply Chain / Vendor Management software is essential.
