Electrical Job Instructor

Basic Function:

To develop and conduct operational / technical on the job training activities (in line with the employees' personal development plans) in order to improve the competence and effectiveness of all of the organization's human resources and support the achievement of Emiratization target.

Worked Performed:

To participate in the development of Company's annual training plan by assisting line personnel review, analyze and evaluate proposed training courses to ensure the courses support the organizational operational / technical training objectives and requirements.
To support the implementation of plans in ASAB as per set timelines and quality
standards in order to achieve the required skill levels in the technical functions.
To review the technical requirements and procedures of Mechanical, Instrument and Electrical functions and develop On the Job Training (OJT) programs to ensure effective skill development of UAE national trainees.
To prepare relevant training schedules based on the actual needs of the operational requirements and personal development plans to fulfill organizational objectives by effective employee development.
To manage and update OJT information, arrange the learning resources or documents such as training material, Operation Manuals, technical drawings, operation / technical procedures etc. that are required by the trainees in order to ensure successful execution of training programs.
To provide individual OJT to the  in the field, when required, or as requested by the OJT mentor in order to overcome any noted problem areas
To provide refresher training to established operations personnel or technicians, when requested by Section Heads or Shift Controllers, in order to increase their performance.
To ensure all OJT activities conducted are in compliance with current operational requirements and HSE policies and procedures.
To plan for plant visits based on trainee availability, training requirements and availability of other resources, conduct OJT during site visits and issue OJT report on trainees' performance tor management decision making.
To develop and administer theoretical and practical assessment tests for operators, technicians and engineering trainees to ensure their OJT activities achieve the desired training requirements.
To assist in the performance review process by advising on accurate completion of the Development Plans in order to ensure comprehensive capturing of individual training requirements.
To conduct counseling sessions with trainees and determine if they have problems with formal technical training or OJT training conducted by line personnel and develop follow up training activities to overcome the identified problem areas
To discuss and document the trainees' monthly schedule with the Section Head or Shift Controllers in order to ensure the job instructor's and line training efforts are integrated and effective .
To document, maintain and update OJT information on and produce training status reports for line personnel, HC Division and management review.
To comply with Company's Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS).

Minimum Requirements:

Should be an university graduate in respective field (Electrical Engineering).
Should posses 7+ year experience in the oil and gas industries preferably in utilities or in power plant.
Good in communication and interpersonal skills.
Teaching and coaching skills are desirable.
Arabic language is an additional advantage.

Basic Function:

To provide learning & development support, services and guidance to all employees across company and facilitate achievement of Emiratization targets. Establish and maintain appropriate learning & development processes, strategies & resources.
Prepare and follow up the implementation of Personal Development Plans(PDPs), training delivery and assessment processes.

Worked Performed:

To design and implement UAE Nationals Learning & Development Processes, strategies, tools, assessment and follow up systems for achieving Emiratization targets.
Conduct periodic review and update Learning & Development systems to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to company needs.
Prepare Competency Based Development Programs/Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for the UAE National Developees and Operational Employees.
Provide guidance and support to the employees and line managers in implementation of the PDPs.
Provide cost effective, and innovative solutions to learning & development needs of the UAE Nationals.
Recommend suitable training courses for Company employees, and evaluate course contents.
Design and implement special, customized programs for Company needs, at par with international standards.
Recommend suitable professional memberships to the UAE Nationals under development.
Supervise Instructor/Trainers led classroom activities, Computer Base Training (CBT) or e- Learning, and On Job Training/Development activities.
Plan, organize and facilitate the assessments of the UAE Nationals as per relevant Company standards, and provide supportive feedback to strengthen the development of competencies.
Maintain assessment records and all related documentation.
Liaise within HRT and with various teams in connection with learning & development and assessment exercise.
Liaise with reputed training providers, academic institutions and leading organizations to provide suitable learning & development opportunities to the UAE Nationals.
Follow up on Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs) of the UAE Nationals.
Participate in AGM Led meetings and follow up on recommended actions.
Assist in preparation of Training Budget, Operating & 5 Year Business Plans for HRT.
Demonstrate professional behavior and a caring attitude towards the candidates.
Keep up to date with latest innovations in teaching/learning methodologies and assessment systems.
Promote learning & development culture across Company.
Carry out other related duties assigned by the Training & Career Dev. Team Leader (HRT).

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum Masters Degree (preferably in a technical discipline) or equivalent attainments, and membership of relevant international professional bodies.
At least 8 years of industry experience - preferably in oil/gas upstream industry
At least 7 years of experience as an Instructor/Trainer/Assessor/Training Supervisor/Curriculum designer/Career Development specialist. Good exposure to program curriculum design and development activities.
Exposed to current technology and trends in teaching, learning and assessment methodologies in academic and industry environment.
Fluent in verbal and written English language.
Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and technical/management skills.
Highly computer literate and ability to use videoconferencing facilities.
