Insulator (Lagger Cum Fitter Cum Metal
Sheet Fabricator)

Basic Function:
• Carry out independently thermal and acoustic insulation including weather protection and cladding sheet fabrication (Lagger, Fitter and Fabricator).
Worked Performed:
• Knowledge of various types of insulation systems, carryout maintenance and new insulation of thermal and acoustic insulation for pipes and vessels.
• Understands application of various types of insulation (Lagging, Fitting, Fabrication, etc…) and is well conversant with the various insulation materials.
• Applies insulation layers, vapor barrier mastic, weather protection including fabrication of aluminum or st. steel covers and boxes for pipes and vessels.
• Operates independently all sheet-metal machineries related to metal cladding works.
• Knowledge of reading drawings like ISO,s, P&I.D, General piping arrangement and equipment drawings with the capability of taking the necessary measurements.
• Performs independently estimation of insulation and cladding materials, prepares fabrication drawings.
• Arranges approach to jobs by simple scaffolds, ladder or movable platforms.
• Knowledge and following to the oil field working safety procedure.
• Keeps work site clean and tidy and performs other duties as instructed by his Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements:
• Age between 25 to 45 years.
• Completion of 10th standard as minimum
• 10 years’ experience in a large Companyizer / Petrochemical / Power / Industrial Plant.
• Attendance of the relevant vocational training courses (Holding relevant Industrial Training Certificate, Trade Test Certificate).
• Full understanding to the instruction in English language with capacity to speak, read and write in English.
