Senior Quality Management Engineer - Integrity & Quality

Worked Performed:
• Documents and maintains the Quality Policy in an operating plant environment and ensures its implementation.
• Develops and maintains Quality Program Manual and Assets Integrity and Reliability Management System (AIRMS) manual consistent with applicable international standards.
• Periodically reviews the Manuals for revisions and controls manual distribution.
• Reports regularly on the effectiveness of the Quality Program and other Management Systems. Line reporting is to Head of Performance and Reliability.
• Performs periodic quality audits of various departments against the Management systems, and of specific functions or activities within the departments.
• Leads in integrating the HSE management systems with the Quality programs and AIRMS.
• Interfaces with contractors and vendors quality representatives or representatives of shareholders, when appropriate.
• Participate in management quality reviews meetings to inform management of significant quality trends.
• Provides general quality management guidance to Engineering, Production, HSE&I, Personnel and Training and Procurement.
• Audits or reviews overhauls /modifications /project documents and related materials and provides guidance to persons whose activities affect quality.
• Participate in the development of Trains Overhaul Quality Assurance Manual and leads its implementation.
• Performs statistical analysis as required to quantify defects in performance, their trending and help developing programs for their elimination.
• Stops work in those cases where the need for corrective action is immediate and the degree of deficiency is such that only stopping work will preclude the possibility of producing work that is not in accordance with the requirements of the quality program. This authority is not limited by any organizational lines.
• Reviews the effectiveness of the quality control by COMPANY contractors and vendors at intervals consistent with the importance complexity and quality of the services and its relationship to COMPANY quality requirements.
• Chairs regular reviews of the suitability and effectiveness of the Quality Program /Management Systems, and coordinates improvements to the Quality Program.
• Ensures that qualified, skilled and trained personnel and other resources are available to implement the Quality Program and Management Systems.
• Ensures that personnel comply with applicable standards, regulations, specifications and documented management systems and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
• B.Sc in Engineering Discipline or equivalent qualification.
• 15 Years experience in the engineering and production field, including minimum 5 years in Quality Work Practices for the integrity and reliability management systems including arranging accreditation to international standards like ISO 9000 in the gas processing, oil refining or petrochemical industry background. Minimum 5 years in supervisory position.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Computer literate.
Remuneration Package:
• Leave cycle 5/2 (i.e. 5 days on Das Island followed by 2 days off in Abu Dhabi)
• Messing and accommodation are provided free of charge while on Das Island.
