Learning & Education Advisor

Basic Function:
• To provide learning & development support, services and guidance to all employees across company and facilitate achievement of Emiratization targets. Establish and maintain appropriate learning & development processes, strategies & resources.
• Prepare and follow up the implementation of Personal Development Plans(PDPs), training delivery and assessment processes.
Worked Performed:
• To design and implement UAE Nationals Learning & Development Processes, strategies, tools, assessment and follow up systems for achieving Emiratization targets.
• Conduct periodic review and update Learning & Development systems to ensure its effectiveness and relevance to company needs.
• Prepare Competency Based Development Programs/Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for the UAE National Developees and Operational Employees.
• Provide guidance and support to the employees and line managers in implementation of the PDPs.
• Provide cost effective, and innovative solutions to learning & development needs of the UAE Nationals.
• Recommend suitable training courses for Company employees, and evaluate course contents.
• Design and implement special, customized programs for Company needs, at par with international standards.
• Recommend suitable professional memberships to the UAE Nationals under development.
• Supervise Instructor/Trainers led classroom activities, Computer Base Training (CBT) or e- Learning, and On Job Training/Development activities.
• Plan, organize and facilitate the assessments of the UAE Nationals as per relevant Company standards, and provide supportive feedback to strengthen the development of competencies.
• Maintain assessment records and all related documentation.
• Liaise within HRT and with various teams in connection with learning & development and assessment exercise.
• Liaise with reputed training providers, academic institutions and leading organizations to provide suitable learning & development opportunities to the UAE Nationals.
• Follow up on Quarterly Progress Reports (QPRs) of the UAE Nationals.
• Participate in AGM Led meetings and follow up on recommended actions.
• Assist in preparation of Training Budget, Operating & 5 Year Business Plans for HRT.
• Demonstrate professional behavior and a caring attitude towards the candidates.
• Keep up to date with latest innovations in teaching/learning methodologies and assessment systems.
• Promote learning & development culture across Company.
• Carry out other related duties assigned by the Training & Career Dev. Team Leader (HRT).
Minimum Requirements:
• Minimum Masters Degree (preferably in a technical discipline) or equivalent attainments, and membership of relevant international professional bodies.
• At least 8 years of industry experience - preferably in oil/gas upstream industry
• At least 7 years of experience as an Instructor/Trainer/Assessor/Training Supervisor/Curriculum designer/Career Development specialist. Good exposure to program curriculum design and development activities.
• Exposed to current technology and trends in teaching, learning and assessment methodologies in academic and industry environment.
• Fluent in verbal and written English language.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and technical/management skills.
• Highly computer literate and ability to use videoconferencing facilities.
