Architecture Engineer (Interior)

Basic Function:
• Plans, designs and furnishes interiors of residential, commercial, or industrial buildings for the DIRD project Formulate designs which is practical, aesthetic and conducive to intended purposes, such as raising productivity or improving life style.
Worked Performed:
• Reviews and advices on all the related to interior designs package including detailed drawings, perspectives, material boards, reports, specifications and schedules for all interior designs elements including millwork, FF&E items, graphics, signage and art works.
• Prepares weekly and monthly reports regarding the follows up of architecture/ Interior designs with the consultants and PMC.
• Reviews finishes and specifications for materials and FF&E items as well as specifications for customs manufactured items.
• Ensures all interiors are fully coordinated with the different civil/ MEP services and structural plans provided by the Designs Consultant.
• Reviews services requirements, lighting and signage, way finding and estimates material requirement costs.
• Reviews all the submissions (including weekly and monthly reports) from the consultants / PMC and contractors related to the DIRD buildings/ interior designs and issues reviews reports in this regards.
• Ensures advices of Estidama implementation in Architecture/ Interior designs/ details and forecasts for the construction stage.
• Advises on interior designs factors, such as space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment, color coordination, furniture selection, light fixtures, accessories and materials to fit the approved interior concept scheme.
• Reviews, Comments and approves carpeting, fixtures, accessories, draperies, paint and wall coverings, art work, furniture and related items according to approved specifications and international standards.
• Prepares and reviews of SOW for Architecture Interior Designs packages to meet the functional, operational and safety requirements of the project.
• Sites visits when requested to reviews and checks related with interior designs and issues reports in this regards.
• Works in line with HSE policy and ensure awareness and compliance of HSE rules and regulations by subordinates.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture Engineering discipline or equivalent. Demonstrable experience in architectural interior designs of multi-use projects.
• 5 - 6 years' experience in buildings interior designs and professional in using computer programs related to interior designs such as Auto Cad, 3D Max and Photoshop.
• Good communication skills, writing and presentation skills. Conversant with relevant international codes and standards. Remains abreast of new technical methods in area of expertise for purpose of recommending changes to company codes and standards.
• Proficient in English.
