Basic Function:

Manages assigned projects in the provision of a Project Service to Company Offshore Operations in Zakum and Umm Shaif and Offshore Das Island.

Acts as focal point of contact with Managing Engineers, Contractors, and Consultants on matters relating to the management and implementation of assigned projects.
Directs and supervises the activities and performance of assigned personnel to designated projects, including contract staff.
Ensures targets and standards of performance for individual team members assigned to designated projects are met.
Monitors phased financial commitments for assigned projects, reviews project budgets and phasing of expenditure and arranges budget amendments as necessary.
Leads the effective handling of claims with appropriate Divisions, reviews payments and variations to contractor/consultant/Engineers scope of work, and manages the issue of change orders/variations.
Ensures all technical matters pertaining to assigned projects are dealt with in accordance with Company procedures, and accepted Industry Standards.
Ensures all project activities through commissioning are performed efficiently and effectively, and meets operational requirements. Ensures proposed projects satisfy the requirements of the Business Units.
Manages the performances of the project-specific contractors, consultants, and vendors, including safety performance, and prepare end of project evaluation reports.
Participates in Company Safety Programs ensuring compliance with approved Safety regulations/programs within the Offshore Project Group, implement and safety training of assigned personnel in accordance with pre-determined programs, and ensure proper implementation of all HSE requirements by contractors in the execution of fabrication, construction, and installation activities.
Assists in the provision of project management and construction support services to each offshore Asset Management Team as required.
Assists in the development of project HSE plans covering all phases of assigned projects, including requirements of HSEIA's, QRA's, HAZID's, Risk Identification and Assessment studies such as PHSER's, HAZOP's, etc, and follow-up with implementation. Assists in the reviews and approval process of contractors'/consultants' HSE plans.
Defines and manages quality plan requirements as part of designated project implementation strategy.
Controls the efficient and cost-effective use of financial, human and other resources assigned to specific projects.
Assists in the training and supervision of UAE Nationals assigned to the Offshore Projects Team.
Inputs to the development of the annual resource plan covering the Facilities Engineering support requirements.
Liaisons with Operations through Asset Engineering Support Team on acceptability of design proposals. Liaison with the Asset Engineering Support Team on acceptability of design proposals. Liaison with the Asset team on all construction and commissioning activities.
Participates in the preparation and review of commissioning procedures by contractors/consultants/vendors, and establishes acceptability through liaison with Site Operations for assigned projects.

Manages commissioning and hand-over processes for assigned projects.
Performs other duties as requested by the Offshore Projects Team Leader, including participation in the preparation of Facilities Engineering Division reports, actively participate as member of Task Forces in studies and investigations, assist in career development and the establishment of training requirements of Team Members, and conduct interviews for technical staff/make recommendation as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
10 - 15 years work experiences in Oil & Gas / projects. Must be well experienced in FEED, EPC and Commissioning activities of large multi - disciplinary projects from inception to commissioning.
Good knowledge of Engineering, Project Management, QA / QC and HSE management systems and related project requirements.
Should possess planning, organizing and people management skills and have ability to work as part of team in varying environments.

Establishing an effective alumnae networking series of events, attended by invited 'global gurus' to discuss common corporate leadership issues and solutions.
Establishing an annual budget, performance targets and KPIs for Leadership Development in discussion with the Head of Talent Management and ensuring that the necessary tracking processes are in place to monitor progress monthly, quarterly and annually towards achievement of those targets
Managing the Leadership Development section within Talent Management, including on-going motivation, communication, involvement, allocation of duties, delivery of results, continuous improvement of processes as well as coaching and achieving individual and team professional growth

Minimum Requirements:

BA/BSc./BE (Bachelors Degree) in a related degree (e.g. Occupational Psychology) or an MBA with a specialist major (e.g. HR, OD, LD, MD). A professional qualification is advantageous (e.g. BPS, CIPD or SHRM).
10 years' experience of designing, implementing and sustaining effective leadership development, succession planning, and high potential visions, policies, programs, processes and procedures for C Suite positions and below.
Oil and Gas industry background, and /or, a proven track record in a recognized international business Organization or consultancy.
Comfortable operating at board and Senior Management levels.
Political sensitivity, and confidence to coach effectively, challenge creatively, recommending and gain top level 'buy in' to implementable solutions.
Able to positively involve and influence key stakeholders from within the business management and HR functional departments within the group.
Proven skills in networking, team working, performance delivery, and change management.
Ability to manage, drive and motivate a mixed national and expatriate professional team to achieve success, whilst Coaching and developing national team members for future growth and accountability.
