Basic Function:

The Senior Lecturer is responsible for delivering high quality teaching and student support on designated programs in line with the Company’s academic standards and curricula. The incumbent contributes to the design and development of the course curriculum and material, supporting the Company in becoming the preeminent and preferred university in the region.

Worked Performed:

Deliver a range of programs at various levels to ensure high quality teaching and assessment compliant with the quality and educational standards and regulations of the program, the university and, where relevant, external regulators.
Contribute to the design, planning and development of high-quality course curriculum and materials to promote learning.
Support students in acquiring the knowledge and skills required by Companies as appropriate.
Design and communicate course content, requirements, evaluation procedures and attendance requirements to students and department.
Prepare lectures and seminars and teach classes according to an approved course syllabus.
Follow up on student progress, provide feedback to students and make suggestions to the Director of Academic Bridge Program/Head of English on improvements to the curriculum in line with the objectives of the Company.
Maintain records to monitor student progress, achievement and attendance.
Conduct the academic duties required to sustain the delivery of high quality teaching, including developing exam questions, grading exams and papers.
Identify students' learning styles in each class and apply appropriate teaching methodologies during class in order to provide intellectually stimulating classes and facilitate the most appropriate teaching and learning situations. 
Act as an academic advisor to assigned students by aiming to maximize learning opportunities, challenging students, resolving any issues, and appropriately retaining students. 
Recommend textbooks and other learning material as appropriate to enhance student learning experiences.
Post and maintain office hours for student consultation at reasonable times.
Attend all faculty meetings, professional development, orientation activities, and other meetings as requested by the Director of Academic Bridge Program/Head of English.
Contribute to the creation of an intellectual atmosphere at the University by attending seminars, workshops, etc.
Develop internal networks within the Company and partner universities, by participating in committees for example, in order to promote a collaborative university community.
Contribute to the accreditation process within the programas appropriate.
Perform other tasks and duties that may be, from time to time, required in order to meet the requirements of the role and the aims of the University.

Minimum Requirements:

Master’s degree from an accredited university in a relevant discipline and/or have international eminent experience as a practitioner. 
Minimum five years of post-masters teaching experience.
Experience in curriculum development and teaching methods is required.
Strong understanding of own specialized area of expertise to support the development of knowledge, innovation and understanding within the field.
Excellent communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and interpersonal skills; can be direct and forceful as well as diplomatic.
Ability to work with and manage diverse groups, cultures, and communities.
Continuous improvement, actively pursue ongoing efforts to improve performance and increase one’s ability to fulfill requirements.
Enthusiastic and energetic about the Company’s mission to provide high quality engineering and science professionals through a continued commitment to excellence.
Quality-focused, ability to demonstrate use of quality methods, tools and techniques used to create and support an environment that meets the needs of the organization.
Time management, ability to set priorities, goals, and timetables to achieve maximum effectiveness.
Ability to assume authority, responsibility, and accountability.
Fluent in English, Arabic is considered a plus.
