Basic Function:

To manage the planning, engineering, CWI material management, programming, execution and evaluation of Well Completion design, Well Completion operations, Well Testing operations, Production station metering checks via well test units, Slick-line, Stimulation, Coil Tubing operations, Post drilling Well Integrity management and Well Head maintenance of all wells in line with Company technical, operational and HSE standards. He should have strong technical multi skills covering all well services / well interventions as there will be fewer personnel in the team to cover wider well services expertise area.

The incumbent is responsible for managing the following:

Well Completion design and equipment selection for extremely sour high temperature gas reservoir environment for highly deviated upper completion and multi laterals reservoir completion.
Well completion operations & work-over operations on two drilling rigs.
All high pressure, high temperature well testing, drill stem testing, and associated activities.
All Production station metering activities utilising either a full well testing package or a portable separator package.
Well Stimulations, coiled tubing activities in extremely sour environment for long multilateral, multizone plugback isolations etc.
Slickline and electric line standalone operations.
Planning for potential Hydraulic fracturing activities operations and their associated activities including coiled tubing activities, multizone isolations and wireline operations. These fractures are predominantly in long lateral gas wells and are multi zone massive fracs.
All well test, frac management and well clean up activities following stimulation and associated activities including coiled tubing activities, multizone plugback isolations and wireline operations, both slickline and electric line.
All well head maintenance activities on HPHT wells.
Well integrity testing planning, executions and well integrity management.
Contract management ¡n line with corporate contract management procedures. Currently the incumbent manages four major contracts for well completion services, Stimulation & CTU services, well intervention services and well testing service contract.

Worked Performed:

To provide dynamic leadership for a vibrant section and manage the execution of all deep lateral wells completions, well testing activities, all Production station metering checks via portable test units, all Fracture/ stimulation activities, all HPHT slickline and well head maintenance activities and all technical load analysis for well completion design as described below:
Accountable for ensuring implementation and adherence to the requirements of the HSE management System and the specific acceptability's summarised in the corporate HSE Policy statement and for detailed implementation of the HSE plan.
To manage in line with corporate HSE policies and contract management guidelines, the CWI major contracts that the incumbent is contract holder. This includes the total life cycle of the contract from identification of the need for a contract, through to developing the scope, identifying and pre qualifying tenderers, assisting to draft and verify the contract document, tender evaluation, tender board presentations, contract award, contract execution, financial control and final contract close out.
To manage the process of planning and co-ordination of well completions operations on 2 rigs, well interventions, standalone operations and Well Test Unit to ensure maximum cost effectiveness and utilization of resources driving for efficiency, in a safe and efficient manner.
To manage the process of planning and co-ordination of the acid Stimulations / Frac for the execution of stimulation activities to ensure maximum cost effectiveness and utilization of resources in a safe and efficient manner with shared / call off resources.
To manage the process for proposals and programs on all aspects of the well completion, wellhead maintenance, well testing, Stimulation and Well Service specific programs for HPHT well entries,
To manage the process of planning and co-ordination of Wireline and Well Head Maintenance activities with production operations for well entries to ensure maximum cost effectiveness and utilization of resources in a safe and efficient manner.
To act as discipline head for all well entry procedures as they relate to Well Services activities. To develop and implement strategies, policies, objectives and procedures, specific to own activities, within the guidelines, policies and objectives laid down and the corporate function. To ensure that the procedures are indeed updated and are readily available to staff in the field.
To manage and control of all support activities to ensure optimum utilization efficiency of direct and indirect contracted resources that support prime units under his control.
Ensure the timely availability of shared contracted services and resources by participating in team setting priorities and to manage the assigned service resources, maintaining regular consultation with service Contractors, other team priority setting participants, and relevant Production Operations departments.
Enhance the effectiveness of all activities under his control by monitoring the performance of all equipment and services utilized and initiating follow up on shortfalls and failures,
To execute and manage all aspects of the Drilling & well services HSE plan as ¡t relates to his activities and contractors.
Personally investigate, report and follow up upon, all LTI's for service contracts and indeed staff under his management.
Develop competency of Emirati staff involved in his or her operations.
To manage the dynamic and demanding workload, controlling change and identifying opportunities brought by new technology and program changes.
To ensure continuous business improvement through a process of monitoring, feedback and improvement loops with dissemination in the organization and incorporation into future activities.
To analyze risks involved in every phase of activities under his control, advising customers the risks and potential impact in a proactive manner prior to start of each activity.
In order to improve unit technical costs, continuously seek opportunities for and provide an environment for implementing incentives, optimization of operational execution through reviews of industry practices, challenging existing standards, ¡introduction of existing or new technologies and identifying technical projects that would support and improve the activity requirements
To present performance on a monthly basis to section head and customers.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Minimum 13-15 years experience in Completion & well interventions (CWI) scope activities including a minimum of 7 years well site experience at Supervisor level and a minimum of 5 years experience as CWI Supervisor in field locations.
The incumbent should possess an in-depth knowledge across the full spectrum of Well Services Operations, including the stimulation process, from initial design through to completion.
He or she must be a team play and indeed builder, with good interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels.
The incumbent shall be capable of motivating and stimulating subordinates into achieving breakthrough performance.
In the highly complex and technically challenging environment, the incumbent must have highly developed technical skills & expertise level technical experience to drive efficiency and accomplishment with minimum support.
He or she must be able to challenge conventional approach and be able to deliver solutions to differing situations in a rapidly changing technical, commercial and social environment.
He or she must have enhanced analytical and commercial skills with considerable previous experience of tender initiations, evaluations and contract management.
The incumbent shall have well developed management skills and leadership qualities with previous experience of managing a broad portfolio of staff skills sets and indeed cultures, including contracted and seconded staff. Previous experience of working in the host country environment with its associated sensitivities would be a distinct advantage.
A proven ability and sound CWI technical knowledge to interface with other departments is essential.
